Hey guys, I was seeing if anyone else with a 940 had any luck getting past or up to 4.0ghz? The only downfall that I usually have is that I run 4x2GB sticks of DDR2 so it isn't as stable as 2 sticks when increasing the frequency. Also, if you did have luck with 4 sticks what voltage were you using? I'm not too worried about temps since I sit at around 38C and maybe get up to 45-47C load. Using a closed loop Liquid Cooling from CoolIT.

Yeah it's the older stepping. Have specs listed under my name so I just thought I wouldn't bother posting them. But they are as follows....

Antec P180b Case w/ 3 Antec Tri-Cool Fans I believe around 70cfm @~1900rpm
AMD Phenom II x4 940 Stepping 2
CoolIT Closed System Liquid CPU Cooler w/ 2 Scythe 120mm Fans on Radiator @~120cfm @ ~2200rpm (I think that's the rpm)
Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 Motherboard
Corsair CM2X2048-6400C5DHX 4x2Gb Sticks = 8GB total
XFX 5770 1st Rev.
Dan-Elec 80GB SSD (Intel G1 Based SSD)
WD 750GB WD7500AAKS-00RBA0
Samsung 1.5TB HD154UI (Two of these)
LG HD-DVD/Blu-Ray combo Drive

Don't really think I need to list all my accessories, sound system or monitors ;).

So far I've gotten up to 3.8ghz with success but it crashed when under load on Crysis (haven't really run it through the ringer ala Prime or Furmark for the vid card).....I believe I had it at 1.4v at the time too
