I have a amd 9850 that is only showing one active core in amd overdrive status moniter. Are there any other programs to verify other 3 cores are defective or why they are not working? Any help would be well recieved. Thanks.

Check your BIOS and see if there is something that is "locking" your other cores.

Thanks. turned out to be in system config in windows. only 1 processer instead of four enabled. easy fixl once my brain started working.
