Will PCI Express 2.0 x16 video cards LIKE THIS still work (at a degraded level perhaps) in a motherboard LIKE THIS that only has a PCI-E x16 interface

yes, pci-e 2.0 is backwords compatible with pci-e 1.1 (x16). you might see a slight performance drop with that card but nothing too bad.

What are the rest of your specs? The cpu may become a bottleneck for that card

CPU is a q6600

Well the MB and video are linked in the OP, The system also includes:

And a nice aftermarket CPU cooling solution and a 650W PS that I cant remember the makes/models of at the moment.
