I have never OC'd anything before. I am looking to get 2 GTX 460s. I would get an OC'd version, but I like the way the Asus ENGTX460 CU looks and I could OC myself easily I hear. My question is why do all the reviews I read say they only get the memory OC'd to 1700-2100 ish but the OC versions of the cards and GC versions get 3600-4000 on the memory. Can anyone explain this to me.

Solution
depends on the software you use to overclock. if you use MSI afterburner you can save your OC settings and have them applied automatically on startup.

*Laugh* the factory overclocked figures lyk 3800,4000 is not the clock speed dear. They directly give the DATA RATES(which is in most cases TWICE the MEMORY CLOCK speed).

and hey ur too quick on pickin best answers(it closes threads) :p

not only is this an old thread anik, but the OP clearly states in the second post that they already know the memory is quad pumped (and no, its not double.).

best answer was given because i solved his other query. But you coming in here to whinge isn't helping anyone.
