i have windows vista ultimate, i get alot problems extracting large files, and vista memory diag says i have a hardware problem, what i would like to know is if its just the ram or a problem with d board, bcuz i read in the booklet for mt board that it only supports unbuffered ram but the ram i have in it is buffered, is that the problem?

Running buffered memory usually will not cause any problems, other than it will be slower than unbuffered memory. But you never know, after all you have hardware plugged into the board that it does not support.
A complete list of your build would be helpful.
