The link will take you to my shopping cart or look at the list. Please let me know what you think. My goal is to build a good system for 1200 I can run all game son high settings smoothly. I choose AM3 because its new and I can have it for years to come with worrying about being outdated. From the research I've done I've learned that it doesnt overly matter what CPU you have as long as you have a good vid card which is why I choose 4850x2, 4870x2 too expensive right now.

For gaming, Intel CPU slaps AMD around..Theres proven guides here in tomshardware to tell you everything you need to know. But, it's your choice, not a bad rig.

Actually its pretty well proven that Pll chips are more or less equivalent to C2Q in gaming and both of those give better results in midrange systems than intels latest and greatest Ci7 does .

The OP's system looks good to me . The only thing to check is to see that the 4850 X2 fits in the case . Its a very long card

Yea I read about complaints that it was too long

The P II barely compares to the Q9550. But, as I said, its not a bad rig, it's not going to hurt him any getting the PII 720.
