Cannot copy file from external hard disc

Hello,I'm having the problem with my external HD. I'm trying to copy a file that's only 400MB from the HD and I get prompted about the error "data error.cyclic redundancy check..

I would say that your file is corrupted and or your Hard Disk is on the way out. Check the file system on the drive and run a diagnostic to make sure the Hard Drive is not damaging clusters putting your data at further risk. It is possible that file damage can occur if the External is not removed safely from the PC.
