CD recording

Hi
Can anyone throw some light on this problem

First..... I have a DVD player/recorder in my system standard IDE bus. (Basic PC running windows xp) As far as I can remember DVD drives are able to write to and create CDs.

Second..... I have downloaded progs in my download folder. I want to copy one of them to a CD making a backup copy.

I right click on the file in the download folder and select copy. I then click onto my Cd drive, and click copy, but windows always comes back and says there is a problem creating a CD and offers a retry that never works, so I exit.

The question really is How can I creat CD backup copys of files in my download folder.

Try using a regular burning software like Nero or Roxio. You're better off just getting a flash drive or external hard-drive, much easier to copy to and larger capacity.
