Core 2 Quad Q8400

Hi im buying a new processor and wondering will the Core 2 Quad be good for gaming

GTA 4 recommends that u have one but wouldnt a duo at a hyper clock be better

Thought are MORE THAN WELCOME

AMD is out of the question(not because i dont like them but because i got a Intel MoBo...sry if i wasnt specific)

What would ne one recommend for GTA4 since that seems to be the future for gaming

GTA IV is actually one of the only games, maybe even the only, where a slower clocked quad can without a doubt out perform a faster clocked dual core.

In that case the Q8400 is great value if you are going to OC it - what CPU do you have now and what are you considering - there are only 3 good value points with Intel below the i7 - The E5200, The E7400 and as of now the Q8400

yes its an allendale

yes i could overclock but at what risk...my RAM is only 667 so limits the OC doesnt it?
