I have one but haven't had a chance to test it much. I am using mine in a HTPC and it's not over clocked. From what I have read, this is a pretty decent card that would give you performances in the 8800 GT range, so it's a pretty decent gaming card for someone on a budget.
Dont upgrade to a q6600, its a older 65nm chip, get something more modern.
The 4830 is a great bang for the buck card, its a crippled 4850, a bit faster than a 9800GT. Any graphics card can be overclocked as long as you have decent cooling.

Depends if you can find the q6600 cheap it would be a good deal. The q6600 is still powerful cpu and overclocks great. The 4830 is a great card its slightly slower then a 4850. The price seems okay check newegg.com out. What resolution will you be playing at?
