hi
im looking for a new graphics card for aprox £85 ($118) and this seems to be the bestbuy for the money the link is here. i am buying this for my compaqu sr5228 [running @2ghz] which is getting upgraded to an new q6600 rig soon :) . i have the pcie ports on both. i need to check with somone who knows what there talking about whether this is a good buy for the money. i would also be interested in knowing what overclocking opertunities are available for this card. if notthis card then what is recomended.

I have one but haven't had a chance to test it much. I am using mine in a HTPC and it's not over clocked. From what I have read, this is a pretty decent card that would give you performances in the 8800 GT range, so it's a pretty decent gaming card for someone on a budget.

Depends if you can find the q6600 cheap it would be a good deal. The q6600 is still powerful cpu and overclocks great. The 4830 is a great card its slightly slower then a 4850. The price seems okay check newegg.com out. What resolution will you be playing at?

i cannot afford to spend more on a newer cpu
