Hi Guys,

I have planned to swap the fan of the Seasonic M12II 500W as my second last stage of quiet PC. Just having a little tough time choosing the right fan for it. I have in my the

Noctua NH-P12
92.33 m3/hr
1.69 mmH2O

to replace stock

Adda
166.8 m3/hr
2.97 mmAg

*Note, Add is 2.97 mm[[[Ag]]]

Is this good set up? my current system:

VGA - 9800GTX+
CPU - E4300 @ 3.0GHz
2 X Case fans - Noctua P-12
HDD - W.D. 750G x 1
RAM - TEAM value DDR2

power consumption from Thermaltake calculator is about 250W

Being Australian mean my other choice of brands are limited:

Antec
Noctua
AeroCool
Cooler Master
Thermaltake

My suggestion is Noctua. Are very silent so is what you are looking for.

Either the Antec, or the Noctua (if you don't mind beige). Antec for cheaper (if you can get Scythe go for it).

I'd say that with the reduced airflow at peak, there will be a corresponding reduced airflow at lower speeds, this might make the PSU warm up, which might increase speed negating the benefit. You may be able to improve the situation by venting ambient air to the psu instead of system air to it, hence allowing it to run cooler. Try and get as close as you can to the original flow rate else you'll just run faster at load.

noctua or keep the adda (which is already a very good fan)... the others are not what anyone would consider for a silent pc

Ok, thanks guys. I think I might leave it as it is for now, the Adda fan really pack a punch.

I guess I'll do it when it finally starts to die or something.

thanx guys
