Do cases normally separate the 5.25" drive bays?

I am planning to manufacture a product that will fill several bays, but it would be a very tight fit if most cases have some kind of divider/ledge structures between the drives. My NXZT Phantom has 5mm flat tabs that extend between them - is this the case for most gaming cases?

My sister's homebuilt computer does not appear to have these at all, and my Dell Studio 540 only has very small ones. Please reply with case model, and a description (with estimated measurements) of such a ledge.

Also, is there a single standard for where the screw holes are placed, or must my product accommodate different "types"?

I see. I think the main customer group would have mid-tower/tower gaming gases, like corsair 800d, coolermaster haf, nxzt phantom, etc.

The product will cover several bays and be somewhat like a glove compartment, with a specific width (to fit certain products). The distance between the sides (with the tabs) may be slightly too small for it to work with a variety of cases.
