Was browsing the price drops on nVidia cards. Found this little deal. :)  Looks very tempting. Would upgrade my 8800 GTS 512 if I thought my wife would let me get away with it. ;)

MSI GTX 260 Core 216 (OC to 655Mhz) $189.99 - $30MIR = $159.99 + Free Shipping + Far Cry 2 OEM Disc

I'm not an MSI fan but that's a deal that can't be ignored. If you guys need an upgrade jump on this.

I did end up ordering this. Not sure how I'm gonna explain it to my wife though. I've had MSI GPU's before and never had a problem. Their rebates take a while though. However, this particular video card is DARN NEAR a GTX 260 Black Edition. The BE model is like 666Mhz core clock. This MSI OC is 655Mhz core clock. Plus it's supposedly the Core 216 with 55nm.

Plus heck, if you have not purchased Far Cry 2 yet.. you get the game with it.

Guess I should hit up eBay and sell my ECS 8800 GTS 512. Anyone want one? :)

Agreed^
It wows you for a bit, before you realize that your either better off putting a bullet in your head or walking before you fix your car:)

I had fun with the flamethrower, but for that price, the card is at a good price point as well.

This 1 gives you a free copy of Vista 32 bit OEM:

Don't think free shipping didn't read that:p

Yeah I'd rather have a genuine OEM Vista CD than Far Cry 2 CD myself. I played Far Cry 2, but never completed the game. I did get a bit tired (bored) of driving back and forth all the time to complete "random" missions that had nothing to do with the plot line.

However, that video card is the older 192 version of the GTX 260.

It's Overclock potential more than makes up for the lack of SP:)

Yeah, but when you figure the two cards are essentially the same price, and the fact that the MSI version has more SP and is heavily overclocked already, plus is supposed to be the die shrink version I believe.

I'm still thinking the MSI version is the better buy between the two.

I have actually listed my 8800 GTS on eBay as of yesterday.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ECS-8800-GTS-512MB-G92_W0QQitemZ280...|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

I've never shipped anything over seas, so I'm not sure what it would cost to ship it to the UK. The shipping details on my new video card (UPS is on the way) show the box it's being shipped in is 5lbs. Obviously not sure of the actual box dimensions. But you might be able to estimate shipping costs through the UPS website.

Although there aren't any bids on my GTS yet, it shows I've got 6 watchers so far. :)
