Hi there.

System :

Asus rampage formula
4 gig corsair dominator

As i was installing some chipset/nb/sb Wc i accidently ripped my screwdriver across the board. like damn.

Inspected the circuts and it all looks pretty good, 90% sure they arnt cut.

Anyways when trying to start the MB all voltage leds went up and no boot, well as expected.

I left the board for some time and it would boot again without any issues, thats until i try to start windows, it locks up on the windows logo after about half a second (vista and XP) . same goes when trying to run the windows install cd (vista ) , no chance (windows XP setup disk does run as it has no real graphical elements)

So i'm puzzled as what the problem might be, i've run a memtest, ran fine (tested with different ram types etc ), tested the different sata ports and so on but with no change.

Anyone that have a clue about what the issue may be ?

Ofc the chances are there's no hope

Check bios settings and make sure your ram is getting the correct voltage as recommended by the ram manufacturer. I've had this prevent windows from installing.
