Hi,
I just built a new system and installed all of the basic programs. I tried backing up with DriveImage XML, but it won't let you restore your drive C were your operating system is installed. I have also tried Drive Image 2002, but that didn't work either. So My question is does anyone know of a good backup program that I could use to backup my main drive C?

if you have vista ultimate or business edition (or windows 7 ultimate), you can use the built-in disk image creator. the advantage to using this utility is that you can restore your hard drive just by booting to your windows installation cd and choosing the image you want to use to restore. i've used it and it takes a long time to complete, but it works very well.

BART PE (yes the program is in all caps) This will clone whatever is on your HDD (uses Norton Ghost), to an external HDD or DVDR (with high compression).
