Multi-card reader disconnecting wifi Tags: Connection WiFi Wireless Adapter USB Components Last response: May 19, 2009 3:49 PM in Components Share karoma May 19, 2009 3:45:29 PM Yesterday I installed an internal multi-card reader into my pc, but when connected it will disconnect my wireless connection every 5 minutes or so. It's connected to one of the usb headers on my board (Gigabyte EP43-DS3L). The wireless adapter is connected to a front panel usb port which runs to the other header. The only solution thus far seems to be to physically disconnect the reader from the header whenever it's not in use. As you can image this is quite an inconvenience. Does anyone have any ideas on a fix? More about : multi card reader disconnecting wifi chunkymonster May 19, 2009 3:49:23 PM Get a PCI or PCIe based wireless card instead of a USB wireless device. Connect the card reader to another header. Connect the USB wireless device to a USB port on the back IO panel. Can't find your answer ? Ask !
