I got a cosmos s for my birthday in march, i then proceeded to by 2 sound sensitive CFFL's for it, they work great. I have them hooked up to a Fan/CFFL controller.
Now i want to mod my Case so i have 2 toggle switches in the front.
I have 2 of these switches-

These CFFL's come with a PCI bracket on/off switch. I want to take that switch off and put in that toggle switch so i have control of the CFFL's from the font of my case and becase it looks cool. I've done tons of searching already but alot of the tut's were not helpful what so ever, and i don't want to buy permade switches online.im a visual learner so Pictues would be awsome!, thanks guys!
Should not be a problem. I've installed simple on/off switches and momentary contact switches on a few case mods.
I know you mentioned you wanted to mount the new toggle switches on the front of the case. What case do you have and where on the front do you want to mount the switches? The easiest thing to do is to mount the switches on an available drive bay cover. All you would have to do is drill two 7/16th inch diameter holes on the drive bay cover.
What kind of connectors does the toggle switch have?

I can't tell from the photo of the toggle switch and the description is inadequate.
How many wires are connected to the switch on the bracket?
I have the coolermaster cosmos s full tower case, I would like to mount the switches on one of the 5.25" bay covers. and yes i have simple terminals like in the second switch. I also went out and bought quick disconnects for them. there are only 2 wires connected to the switch. becasue it only has 2 terminals.

I used quick disconnects to connect the wires to the switch. I seen quite a few tut`s do it like that. If you think soldering is better please let me know. but for now i have the wires connected to the switch via quick disconnects. The ones i have now are not bad, but im running low on them. im going to get the insolated ones once i understand how to do this.
thanks!
OK! Soldering is not necessary. The quick disconnects will work just fine. All you really need to do is mark where you want the switches on the drive bay cover; drill two 7/16th inch diameter (or 1 cm) holes in your drive bay cover; install the switches, and connect the wires. In the event the lights come on when the toggles are in the off position just reverse the quick disconnects so the lights come on when the toggles are in the on position.
thanks, as you can see the CFFL's come with a PCI controller so all i have to do is cut the PCI controller wires off, add quick connects and connect them to the toggle switch?,
thanks for your help.
yea. the CFFL's come with a on/off switch that you can use to turn the CFFL's on and off. I dont have any available PCI brackets so i cannot install the switch. This is why i want to mod the front of my case. If you look the at pictures of the UV or Blue CFFL's you'll see it comes with a PCI bracket on/off Switch. so yes i did men rear panel bracket with the switch
thanks
