1st build, how does it look?

Hello,

This if the first time I will have built a system from the ground up. I already know what case/psu/cpu cooler I plan on using and I have a good idea for the processor but I'm really not too sure about the motherboard and subsequently RAM, the variety is crazy!

This is what I'm looking at...

Q9550 - price seems pretty damn good considering it can oc'd quite a bit

My criteria for the motherboard is to support RAID 5 setup, support SLI for the future and is LGA775...

Depending on the gfx card it should run like a dream. However you might consider switching to a gigabyte board like a UD3P. It's set up for crossfire instead of SLI and is slightly more exspensive but your Yorkfield will thank you for it.
