Question about power usage when overclocking GPUs

When I am overclocking my video card, does adjusting the core/shader clock speed increase the amount of power used by my cards? I know that increasing the voltage does, but what about the other adjustable settings? I ask because I am using a 1200W PSU to power 3 GTX 480s and an overclocked CPU, so I'm cutting it pretty close. More detailed system specs can be found here if it helps: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/289788-28-tomshardware

Yes it does increase power consumption. Overclocking = more power period. Now the effect of a slight shader increase can be argued. I personally don't know how much it adds to the power consumption.
