Keyboard and mouse not detected on boot windows xp

Hello,keyboard and mouse not responding at boot up this means I have no option to do;Is there any technical assistance to this,Iam using compaq dx 1000microtower on windows xp

Go into your bios settings and look for a setting that reads something like legacy USB and enable it. This will enable your motherboard to detect a USB keyboard and mouse during boot, before windows loads.
