I HAVE A OUTDATED 7 YEAR OLD BUILD. (IT WENT CRASH BOOM) I PLAY A LOT OF LARGE FILE GAMES LIKE DRACULA 3 AND THIS PC WILL NOT HANDLE IT. RIGHT NOW I'M USING A DELL DIMENSION 2400 WITH ABOUT 1.2 GIGS OF MEMORY AND A Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller. I WANT TO UPGRADE AND NEED SUGGESTIONS, BUDGET IS 300 TO 500 DOLLARS. ANY SUGGESTIONS? BUY BAREBONE OR INDIVIDUAL PARTS.? I DO NOT BELIEVE I NEED EXTREME GAMING STUFF. PREFER AMD AND ASUS

My suggestions are reasonable. I wouldn't reuse too many of your dell components. You may even want to get a newer faster hardrive. Definately don't reuse the dell case or power supply, when new ones are priced right. The pc power and cooling is a tier one rated power supply, which means it ain't cheap, and won't die easily under load.
