So I've been commissioned to build an i7 system for a friend of mine and have the whole thing specced out and pretty much ready to order.

Haven't build one yet so I was just looking for a little bit of information before the pieces get here...

What can I expect when mounting the stock the HSF? Please tell me they've done away with the horrid 775 pushpins and opted for something more sensible and friendly to both thumbs and motherboards... still get shudders when I recall that damn scythe ninja requiring so much force that the Asus P5KC I had cracked... good thing it was a salvaged PC that was destined to be scrapped for parts, eh?

So yea, just looking for a quick overview on the mounting system on 1366 boards if anyone would be so kind.

It's pushpins, similar to the stock 775 design. If you want something else, you'll need an aftermarket heatsink.

Sorry.
