i bought a new card same model as my old one.
i slot into dimmslot2 n tried to boot with 2 slots filled,it appears to be running but the tower indicator light did not light up like normally with only the old card . the monitor appears in standby-mode.

once i took out the new card, i tried to boot and works.

issit a problem with the card or MB ? :na:

It's probably a problem with the mobo. Are you able to check the new card on another computer's motherboard, just to be sure there's nothing wrong with it?

Sometimes there are issues with compatibility of the electronic components. Make sure that you have selected the right RAM with the right configuration. There could be some problem with the RAM in itself and if that is the case then you need to call a vendor.
