I have installed all the latest jave/windows virtual
machine updates, ticked every box in options/advanced for
virtual machine, set security for vm at low but I still
can not access some websites. They all say you need to
download jave virtual machine. As I already have it then
there must be something I have to do to get the thing to
work. Any suggestions.

Which Java virtual machine are you using? Have you tried the one from Sun
(http://java.sun.com)
