have a 1 gig xfxHD4870, running in a I7 920 set up with 6 gig ram

used auto tune in the ATI cat control center and it said core values were gpu clock 750MHz memory 900MHz, thought this was supposed to come OC @775MHz, any way after runing auto tune it says best settings are gpu 780MHz memory 1090MHz

i have fan speed set at 32 % and at idle i get 46/47 oc underload (far cry 2 @1920 X1080 everything maxed out )get no more than 62 oC

is this ok running at this level

thanks for any help

The only one who can answer that is you.
If you aren't seeing any problems in game, then I would say that your overclock is good.

Your temps look really good. My 4870 idles at 58-60C with it clocked at 800/950. At load it normally goes to 82C or higher.

I've noticed a lot of people seem to be getting much higher RAM clocks than I do though. 990 is my best, I cant believe people are getting their RAM to 1100/1200. I'm happy with the gpu, it is stable at 825 but the RAM is really disappointing.
