Hate to throw another one of these threads out here, but I need some advice.

System Specs:

GA-P35-DS3L
Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0ghz
Kingston 1GB Hyper X DDR2 RAM x 2
Pioneer DVD-RW
WD 320GB Sata HDD 7200rpm
Maxtor 60GB IDE HDD
Antec case with LED light bar and 2 led fans

The only part I don't have the specs on is my video card. It's a low level GeForce I bought back in Feb. 08 for around $60 $70 dollars. Its probably not sucking a lot of power. I hardly ever game these days.

I'm currently running a 350w Antec PSU that came with my case. Pretty old school. With the recent passing of my master HDD I bought the SATA drive. I decided it's time to upgrade the PSU. As I said before I don't really get my game on anymore, but I might add a beefier card down the road and would like to have the power to do it.

I was told I should have around 450w for this rig and that might be more than needed.

I'm leaning towards the Antec earthwatts 500w PSU, but I'm not ready to pull the trigger until I hear more advice.

Thanks!

First things first. A high quality, high performance power supply in the 500 to 550 watt range can easily handle an overclocked quad core system with any single video card made and some dual video card configurations.

The Antec Earthwatts 500 is a good choice. Here's a link to a technical review over at jonnyguru.com:
