Just brought an athlon II 620 anybody had any joys overclocking this chip. Motherboard is a Biostar MCP6P3 it is a budget board the cooler is an akasa heatsink and fan (akasa 922 from maplins have used it originally for an intel e5200 and 2160 respectively). I did manage to get it from 2.6 to 2.8 just by upping the FSB but at the moment its running at stock speed.

What is the fastest anybody has got this running at on an AM3 board.

It can go up to 3.133 if your BIOS will let you change the multiplier and increase the voltage. Try a multiplier of 13, 241 FSB with 1.5V if you can change those settings. It might be possible to change them with a Windows application if you cannot, but I have never had much success with those.
