Hi,

my current pc spec quickly is:

Intel duel core E8400 (2x3.00GHz)
MSI-P35 Neo-F (MS-7360) Motherboard
ATI HD 3870 512mb
4x1GB DDR2 800MHz

Wondering if any1 here has any suggestions about overclocking my E8400? As I have never overclcoked a cpu before in my life. my gfx card is currently running at core speed of 800MHz and memory speed of 1152MHz.

any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Don't know anything about that mobo but you should easily be able to up the FSB to 400MHz bringing your RAMs at 1:1 to spec 800MHz and you cpu to 9 x 400MHz.

If someone has that board they may be able to help you with a few light voltage tweaks but for the most part 3.6 with a decent MSI mobo should be a slam dunk with the e8400.

I don't know about your mobo but on my Asus P5Q SE PLUS, it's one change in BIOS, 400 fsb and I'm up to 3.6 GHz of a 1600 fsb and my vcore is only 1.12 ~ 1.13 with EIST turned on and everything else on auto.
