Should I use PSU that is 4 years old , but still has enough power for new comp ? How do you know when it's time to replace ? I have 3 computers running , still plenty fast enough with upgraded graphics and cpu . I ask because I took apart a 3 year old supply , not a well made one , and there were leaking caps , it was sure to crap out soon , maybe taking some other parts with it .
Short of taking apart the PSU , or it catching fire , how to tell it's time for a new one ?
Use it and run a few test to see how it holds on tests (if your outputs are stable great if you see flucuations it may be time to look into a new one) OCCT will show you
