Hi,

I haven't bought my AMD Athlon X2 7850 BE yet, but does anyone know whether the stock heatsink has a 3 or 4 pin connector, as the accommodating motherboard supports a 4-pin connector for the heatsink. If anyone knows could you please post. Thanks.

While we are talking about fans...another connectors says north bridge fan, and it is 3-pins. The Gigabyte board has more than enough cooling on the NB, so may I put another system fan in its place?

Sorry for being such a newbie. ;)

It doesn't matter, 3 or 4 pin connectors work fine, and yep you can plug any fan into your NB fan mobo connection.

Thanks alot. One other quick question for who ever is interested. This will be my first real build, so I want to get everything straight. For power connections for the fans, is it also possible to plug them into the power supply dirrectly? The PSU I would like which is a 400W Corsair has 6 molex connectors. What do I do with them?

Thanks again. And sorry.
