Dell XPS Gen 2 Motherboard

Can someone please help me in figuring out what motherboard this is? I have tried all combination's of the number in the picture but no search gives me a correct answer. I need to find it so that I can get a new board since mine is crapped out.
The board states that it is a DAQ20 LA-2171 Rev:2.0(A01). Please help!!!

  1. It's most likely a proprietary Dell motherboard. Are you looking for a replacement? Googling the term you gave me actually yielded lots of sellers of this motherboard.
  2. When I do it I get a lot of ebay sellers from other countries. Im just looking for a part number like Y6484. I see numbers like that when I search ebay for "Dell XPS Gen 2 Motherboard." Also I heard a rumor that you can use different motherboards in the same chassis because of Dell's mass production techniques. Like this one on ebay #320396938215.
  3. Does anyone have any ideas? or can someone direct me to an ebay link in the US that I can buy from.
  4. You have to get the some string off the MB for replacement another way suprise... diferent socket for hard drive will find , or processor with diferent speed will not allow to boot the system.
  5. Thx for the help but I already figured it out.

Where did you get your replacement? Did it work? What symptoms did your failed Dell XPS Motherboard DAQ20 LA-2171 Rev:2.0(A01) exibit?
  7. I got my replacement on eBay for $130. It works great. I broke the audio jack and the the power regulator was going out. It would not charge my batteries nor provide me enough power to run the computer at full power. I checked the power supply first and it was putting out enough power. If you want to know what exactly works search "Dell XPS M170 Gen 2 Motherboard P/N F8453" on eBay. This will work for the Gen 2.
