Desktop keyboard controller

Can the keyboard controller on my desktop computer be affected by a liquid spill on the keyboard? I've replaced the keyboard but most of the keys still don't work. I tried uninstalling and re-installing all decices and drivers to no avail.

I suppose anything is possible, but it seems pretty darn unlikely to me...

If in doubt, try with a USB keyboard.

PS/2 ports are not designed to be hot swappable. Hot swapping PS/2 may damage the motherboard.

Try a ps/2 to usb adapter if you have one.
