I recently upgraded my graphics card from a nvidia g100 to a nvidia 9500gt. With the new card I get no sound at all. If I go back to my old card I get sound or if I disable the new card I get sound but I can not get sound with the new card enabled on my pc, please help?
Does the card have a HDMI port? Or a HDMI adapter?
It may be trying to send the sound through that. Another thing to do is make sure you have the updated drivers.
The card has an S-video port and a DVI port. Im Connected to my HDTV using a DVI to HDMI cable with seperate cables for audio. I ran the same setup with my old card with no problems.
Well, as I recall, they made it so that the sound runs through the card and out the HDMI port(when it is in use). Try unplugging the separate cables for audio, and maybe that will work.
Well see there is no HDMI port. There is a DVI port and an S video port. Im using a DVI to HDMI cable which carries video only so seperate audio cable would be needed.
