Hello.
I had the Phenom x3 8400 for about a year now.
I had absolutely no problems with it. In fact, I was pretty happy with it.
However, recently I started playing Company of Heroes, which caused my CPU to lag like hell.
I get the feeling that the game uses only 1 core, because larger maps lag me to death and as more units spawn the game is very stuttery.
Other games run perfect with my HD4850 (Crysis@30fps, CoD4@100fps, etc)
Anyone know a hotfix for this? Any help would be appreciated.
And if I HAVE to upgrade my cpu, I'm planning on the Phenom II x3 720.
I have an ASUS M2N-LA (Narra3) mobo with Phoenix AwardBIOS 6.00PG, will it support the Phenom IIs???
Thanks in advance!

What resolution are you playing your games at?

You need to go to Asus website and look up your mobo's cpu support list, just cause your lazy nobody is going to do it for you.

And yes, its a huge bottleneck.

I'm running the game at 1280x1024, and I think my graphic card is good enough to handle that.
And yes, my motherboard NARRA3 supports the Phenom 8400, or any other Phenom up to 95W (socket AM2+).

So your motherboard supports the Phenom 8400, hmmmm.....thats interesting because in your first post you said you had a 8400 in that motherboard for a year now.....yet you just figured out that the mobo supports it. lol

Lol, I knew that my mobo supported it, only that I was afraid it couldn't be used to its full potential
because the BIOS was locked and could not be updated further.
Anyways, the problem was lying in NOD32, which I erased and got a new antivirus.
Company of Heroes runs pretty smooth now.
I appreciate the help though :) Thanks.
