Ok so here is the deal...

Last night I took my whole rig apart, cleaned, dusted, re-pasted CPU and put everything back together....

Then when I booted to Bios and started to change the Ram timings and Cpu settings, for some odd reason when I booted to windows and pulled up CPU-Z this is what came up :

But before I did all this to the comp, under the RAM speed it stated that the Ram Speed "Frequency" was at 406Mhz and not 203Mhz....

My question is, does CPU-Z have a glitch? cause in my BIOS I have it as the following :

Timings : 5-5-5-15-24-2T
Frequency : changed from 233Mhz to 400Mhz : 800Mhz (DDR2)
Voltage : 1.9v
FSB :@ 203 for now....
Mult @ x17
Vcore @ 1.325
HT @ 2000MHZ
HT voltage @ 1.325

Did I miss something in the BIOS?

I am at the point that I am willing to pay someone if they can come up with the reason why CPU-Z shows 203Mhz as opposed to 406Mhz..... [:lectrocrew:1]

Yeah, looks like your RAM is set to run the same speed as the FSB. Go into the BIOS and change it to DDR2 800.

Yea, I changed the speed from 233Mhz to 400Mhz but I dont understand why CPU-Z shows 203MHZ and NOT 403MHZ (BIOS says its running at DDR2 800MHZ)

My motherboard gives me the following options :

233 / 333 / 400 and 533 ..............

I have tried everything and I am hoping the RAM is not the ISSUE here....

Is there any other program i can use besides CPU-Z that can give me the correct actual speed?

I have everest ultimate as well but dont know what bench I would have to use to confirm the correct speed....

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated !!!

Use the memory tab in CPUz and not the validation.

Also try: cpu tweaker

Yea, im going by both the tab and the validation.... and thx for the feedback... for some reason I cleared the CMOS and now its good to go!!! 400MHZ!!!!
