yellow phone receiver

Hello,
I have windows xp sp2 and recently started haveing a yellow phone receiver next to the time at the bottom right corner of my screen and when you get close to it with the mouse it disapears untill i start my computer again. I have alot of weird things happening can anyone help please.

"weird things" usually mean a virus or spyware. Are you using anti-virus software?
