I dont get it, what do people mean by Real DDR2 Ram?
All i have found out is that some DDR2 - 800 run at higher voltages (ex. OCZ Reaper @ 2.1v) and is basically an overclocked version of lower DDR2 models
That is false info... If the ram you purchase says it is 800Mhz then thats what you get regardless of the voltage it uses to run at that speed...
The reason OCZ Reapers use more volts is due to the fact that in order to get a stable overclock they have to run at 2.1v or in some instances 2.2v (for stabilty purposes)...
The quote "REAL DDR2 Ram" comes from 1066Mhz Ram and not 800Mhz... Due to the fact that ALL DDR2 1066 is really 800Mhz Ram that was made to run at higher speeds with lower timings and in some cases higher voltages....
So its not a question if its BAD or GOOD, it all depends on what RAM you are purchasing....
Ok thanks, but what kind of ram can i get for that so called "Best" 1:1 ratio of FSB - RAM if I'm using a Phenom II Processor X3 BE if it has a 2000mhz bus?
Well it all depends on your motherboard.... If your motherboard supports DDR2 1066 (MAX) and you want the fastest RAM for your 720BE then yes, get 1066Mhz DDR2 Dual Channel RAM, and make sure you change the timings and settings to achieve 1066MHZ. If your motherboard supports 1100Mhz, 1150Mhz or 1200Mhz RAM then you already know what to get....Hope this helps...
Btw in my opinion these will run better than the Reapers :
