I finally hit this chips OC ceiling....4.515 GHz@1.536v even a mere Hz more and its a no go...I tried 4.522@1.56v and she just wouldn't hold....4.6 GHz@1.56 wouldn't even get to logon screen.....Maximum Stable OC on this set-up is 4.2985@1.536v....I tried to get 4.304 GHz @ 1.56v stable but it only primed for one and a half hours before failure.

Grats! Gawd I wish that I hadn't bought the CMv8, it's a great cooler. Just it can't get my 955 to run cool at 4ghz.

My next purchase is gonna be the Corsair H100...These Corsair coolers get a bad wrap on here...I have used the H50 and the H60 with great success. Both keep my 965 rigs under 57c@100%: H50--->4.245 GHz 1.54v.....: H60-->56c@100%--->4.298GHz 1.56v...Ambient temps vary from 24c-28c

^ They are good, no doubt. But they have a bad rep because they aren't exactly worth the price. Especially when certain air coolers, especially the NZXT Havik 140 kill it in cooling power.

Well, I paid $60.00 for the H50 and $70.00 for the H60.....Plus I don't have a giant hunk of metal hanging off my MOBO

At $70 bucks you could get the Havik 140 and it performs better, quieter, and is a better price/performance ratio compared to the H60. Plus the giant hunk of metal I think actually looks better than having an H60/H50 covering the CPU. I'd rather have some actual LC on the CPU rather than closed loops.

I need a screenie of the insane OC to enter in the info...in the insane table you should be able to get it to boot up to 4.6 GHz with just the 4 core operating....really your cpu should be an X6 to be officially a canididate but I made an exception as your cores were cooked.....I really wish that it was fully operational
