Good cooler to fit inside Antec 300

What would be the best CPU cooler that would fit inside an Antec 300 case?

The Xigmatek HDT-s1283 is a very good cooler and it fits in the Antec 300 just barely.

+100 for the XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler and +1000 for the XIGMATEK ACK-I7751 Retention Bracket (backplate) that aevm linked. It fits in the 300 just fine, I have installed two in that case.

When applying thermal paste with the Xigmatek cooler, apply a thin layer across the CPU IHS (top) or across the whole base of the heatsink. The paste won't spread properly through contact because of the gaps between the heatpipes and the base.
