My question to you guys is do I need any tweaking in order to get 8GBs to work o.k.?
He won't be doing any overclocking (at least for now). First he wants stable system.

Any help is appreciated!

Mine worked out of the box.. different ram (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227199), and a q9550..

only runs at 800 mhz mem speed until you over clock it, then you will probably have to do some tweaking

Couldn't be happier with the MOBO. I also have 8 GB (overkill?) with Core 2 Duo though and an MSI Geoforce 9600 VGA

Also have 700 watts from Silverstone which again might be overkill, so you should be fine.

Finally have it all in the Antec Solo, which costs a bit more than the 300, but I must say it is truly a whisper quite case and has me an Antec user from now on.

You should be happy with the choice.
