Hi guys... need some help here. The problem I'm encountering is my PC shuts down after playing NFS Pro Sports or heavy graphics game for about 30 minutes. I have no idea what happened. Here are the details of my rig;
AMD Athlon 64x2 4000 (OCed at 2.6, temp @ idle is 38-32, full load at 50-49)
ATI Palit 3850 DDR3 512MB 256Bit
FSP Blue Storm 1 500watts true rated PSU (31 amps total 12v rail)
2GB PNY
160GB HDD
DVD RW
How about your GPU temp? Do you have good airflow through your case? It would be a worthwhile experiment to take the side panel off, possibly aim a common fan into it, and see if you still get the shutdowns.
Your PSU was reviewed on jonnyguru and should be fine for that rig.
Your OC might be raising your chipset temps. Check them too. A better heatsink or fan might help.

thanks for the info. My gpu temps idle @ 43 full load 63, I have a duke duo wire mesh casing with good airflow, also i have evercool DHT cooler for CPU then I put a 40cm fan in the northbridge... seems to stable for the mean time but CPU temps alarms me (THRM) idles @ 44 fullload @ 53. which one is more reliable? coretemp or speedfan? both have different readings.
Your CPU temps don't look bad; a little warm, but not hot.
So, adding the fan to the Northbridge has made it stable? Well then, maybe that's the answer. You may need to back down your OC a little.
