I like the E5200 build, and I like the motherboard too :P , I don't really like Nvidia chipsets

+1 for the E5200 + P43-DS3 combo. It's a good match and OC very well. Check out the OCing guide :

It's for the P35-DS3L but settings (as in names, etc) are smiler on all Gigabyte boards0

The X2 6000 struggles to compete with the E5200 when both are at stock speeds, overclocking the E5200 makes it the easy choice.

^ it's not great, £120 more would have gotten you a 720 BE oc'd to 3.5ghz, an extra £80 after that would have given you a 955 at 3.8ghz.

This is a $70 processesor from AMD. It has great benchmarks, has 2MB of L3 Cache and its unlocked and can be used with AMD OC utility (I believe). If you get that on an AMD chipset, get a HIS IceTurbo HD4670, and 400 or 450W Corsair Supply, and 4GB of RAM, you have descent build for about $600. Cheers.

[EDIT] Oops forgot the link ;).
