Hey there.

Built a new computer from scratch, loads up all fine, checked that my DVD Drive, Hard Drive, Memory, CPU is connected ect and now I want to install my operating system. My boot order is DVD DRive, SATA Hard Drive and Optical drive but when I reboot, instead of the "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD" I get "Insert boot device and press a key" Anyone know what's going on?

Motherboard: Asus M4N78 SE
OS that I want to install: Windows 7 RC

This is my first time so excuse me if I sound like I don't know what I'm on about :kaola:

Go to bios and set your primary boot device to your cd/dvd drive.

Or press F8 during POST, it should give you a pop-out Boot device menu and simply choose the drive with the OS cd/dvd in it. Is your dvd drive sata too or is it ide?
