I get both the Comedy Central and the MTV channels but the Man Show or The
Ozbornes are not offered. I also put in the name search of thse shows in my
"pick programs to record" function and nothing comes up. What gives? (I
currently trying to contact Direct TV service but the line is always busy
so I thought I would try here first thanks.)

Are you talking about searching with DTiVo? If so, try searching for "Man
Show" and it will probably come up as "Man Show, The". I don't know about
"oZbornes" but spell is "oSbornes" and see if that gets results. Are they
still on the air after the dismal last season?

Yes, I am searching with Direct TV Tivo and I just tried entering the
correct spelling and it still doesn't come up. For The Man Show, I just
tried "Man Show" and it didn't work. Is there some kind of parental filter
that might be screening it out?

Did you set your "parental filters"?
According to http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_shows/themanshow/ it's
on, well "Comedy central"
Do you get that channel?

http://www.mtv.com/onair/osbournes/ says it still on MTV! (ick!)
Don't you get MTV?

So, if those programs are still (sadly) being produced and aired,
then DEMAND that you tell your receiver to "bugger off", by reading
the owner's manual so as to allow YOU to have full control of what
you want to watch!

THEREFORE, once you know that you have those channels that have
those TV shows you want to watch are available, then enter it into
yer "database", and have at it!

It really IS that simple!
