Last response: in Windows 7

Every time a play a CD my computer slows down. If I change tabs in my browser the song freezes (as well as my PC) and then it comes back. My CD drive, a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C SCSI CdRom Device is almost new.

I have Windows 7 with an AMD Sempron 2800+ and 3 GB of RAM.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

what program do you use to listen to music?

I have a few computers that generation still running windows xp with 2 go ram and I must admit they are slowing down... I can't imagine on windows 7...

I think you should scan for virus or look for defective parts....

it might just be that your computer is getting old.

Although a 2800 Sempron is a bit slow for Windows 7 it should still be serviceable. Have you tried disabling all addons in your browser? It may be a addon that is causing your browser to run slow.

I had trouble posting. It said "site unavailable" when I submitted the post. It was never my intention.
