I am looking at Asus, DFI or Gigabyte. I am looking for Crossfire support as I will be getting a second 4890 at the same time of my new motherboard. The people at my local Canada Computers prefer Gigabyte due to its price/preformance and overall build quality which they say Asus lacks both. I am looking to spend ~$300 CDN

I have MSI Eclipse - runs great, OC i7 920 @ 3.7 Ghz perfectly stable even under full load. I have to recommend it 'cause it rocks! The only issue is the price - it if fits your budget it's worth every penny ;)

I don't think there is a X58 motherboard out there that won't run two card crossfire. I would add EVGA to that list because of good support.

Look for the features that you value. Don't buy the most expensive boards because they only offer marginal value to competitive overclockers.

You might download the manual for some boards you are interested in, and see what you think.

For crossfire with dual slot coolers, pay attention to the slot arrangement. Most motherboards want to put the two vga cards next to each other where there is no gap to supply air to one of them. Something like the ASUS P6T deluxe V2 addresses that issue:
