Ive just bought computer parts out of new egg and will probably be assembling it as soon as it gets processed and delivered. I'm just worried that the PSU might not be sufficient for the build a. So can I hear some opinions from those with experience?

My build:

COOLER MASTER RC-690-KKN1-GP Black SECC/ ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (Hope everything fits)

XFX GX285NZDFF GeForce GTX 285 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1600C8D

Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920 (Plan to overclock)

COOLER MASTER UCP RS700-AAAAA3 700W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Power Supply (Good enough?)

Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS 300GB 10000 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

LITE-ON 22X DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model iHAS422-08

COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (Would this work with the V8?)

And also if anyone sees any problems wtih this build pls feel free to comment about it since I may change it depending on any problems i may encounter. Thank you.

P.S. Pls also consider me as a 1st time pc builder as I have not broken apart a pc since 1999

So PSU is sufficient only until I add another video card. With a GTX 285 would I still need to SLI with current games and upcoming ones like Diablo 3?

Ok I think I'll change the PSU to that seeing as I just took the former 1 bcuz it came with the combo deal. This one is cheaper and looks a lot better. Thanx.

Oh and do you think there might be some problems with the other things i picked out?

Ok so I've changed the PSU to a CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

and the Memory to a G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ is this one better? Its definitely cheaper.

Have I mentioned the ache in my heart as I see the grand total of $1,743.19? ;)

But I think this is well worth it.

I just pray to God this all fits in the case without too much problems....pls fit!!!

It's better quality IMO, and leaves the option to SLI if you chose to add another gtx285 down the road.

The price tag is about right for a good i7 build. You will be pleased with the results, it's a good build.
