hi, I've just bought a new set of parts for my build.
MoBo: Asus M3A79-T DELUXE
BIOS: 0703
CPU : AMD Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition
Mem : Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2 x 2048MB)
Vid : XFX GeForce 9800 GT - 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0
HD : Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 500GB Hard Drive - 7200, 16MB, SATA-300
PSU : Ultra LSP750 750-Watt Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, SLI-Ready, 135mm Fan
Case: Foxconn TLA776
But I'm having some issues with my video card... the problem is that some times the image looks kind of good but sometimes it looks really awful, I mean the image appears bluerred (wich is 90% of the time).
Besides that, it's getting really hot. I've installed the drivers, I've not OC anything, I'm not doing SLI (as my MoBo only supports CrossFire)...
have you monitored the temp of the video card during gaming or at idle. Every card malfunctions when it overheats. If the card still has a protecive film on the heatsink covering the fan, it will get too hot. Some video cards dont have smart fan control to speed up the rpm's as it heats up or when launching a 3d game. I have to control my 8800gt manually with rivatuner. 40% when idle, 60% when gaming or it gets too hot for my liking, but it doesnt artifact.
the drivers are the drivers that came along with the dvd, I did not get a chance to download any new drivers, if any, cause the video card was so hot and the image like that, that it freak me out (but drivers should be updated)

I was just installing the OS and it went like a heater (I took out the protective film of the vidcard fan)
