I just bought an old IBM thinkpad t20 running a 700 mhz coppermine mobile p3, and I was wondering if I could use that little tualatin adapter to run a tualatin p3 instead. I'm planning on upgrading to the t22 fan/heatsink since I've heard the one on the t20 sucks, sooo..... Will the tualatin adapter work for me? not sure what mobo it is since I don't physically have the machine yet, I was hoping this wouldnt be a problem.
Wanted to ask this too: Will the pin mod where you connect the two corner pins work for p3? I can only find documentation of it working on Dothan-core intels. Also, if anybody has experience with the t20 mobo, can it handle a higher voltage at all? The processor I'm thinking about doing it on is the coppermine piii-m. It runs at 10x100mhz stock, so theoretically it should be able to hit 10x133mhz for a total clock of 1.33ghz. Any thoughts?
