Flashdrive wont work

i have an 8gb medion flash drive from aldi and it was working great until one day i plugged it in the computer didnt detect it the light on the drive didnt come on. the flash drive is under warranty but i want to retreive the data on it. can anyone reccomend some good software to retreive the data?
i have tried rebooting the computer etc but nothing works.

Have you tried using another USB port on your computer? If so and to no avail, try it on another computer. If it works on another computer, there is an issue with your PC's USB controllers.

Generic flash drives are a no, no. They always go bad.
